The king of the Malayalam film industry Mohanlal recently conferred the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, and today the sensational actor received a commendation by Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi in New Delhi.
It is worth mentioning that Mohanlal is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army. The sensational actor called it “a moment of immense pride and gratitude.”
Mohanlal was honoured by the Army chief at the Army Headquarters in the presence of seven Army Commanders. During the speak with the media after the event, the actress said that more Army related movies are coming.

He also headlined the suspense drama Thudarum, which secured Rs 245 crore gross at the global box office. The actor is now doing the third installment of the very popular Drishyam movie.
