After the massive success of Lucifer, the second installment of the series, dubbed L2: Empuraan, was released last year. The cinema enjoyed a good success across the globe and emerged as the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time, only to be dethroned later by Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.
Now the director and actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has officially announced the third installment of the planned trilogy. The upcoming installment will be called L3 Azrael, starring the king of the Malayalam film industry Mohanlal as Stephen Nedumpally aka Khureshi Ab’raam.
During a recent interview with Manorama News, Prithviraj was asked about the third installment of the very popular Lucifer franchise and he immediately said, “There should be, that is my desire.”
But the director and actor has also said that the next immediate directorial that he would like to work on is another film, and not L3.
