The release of the much-anticipated big budget cinema of Malayalam Marakkar Lion of the Arabian Sea is postponed once again and the reason is the second wave of the coronavirus. The guys behind the upcoming movie have also announced the new releasing date. Marakkar Lion of the Arabian Sea was set to release on May 13 but now the filmmakers have decided to reschedule the release of the much-anticipated cinema and the reason is the second wave of the coronavirus and the bad situation of the country.
It is worth mentioning that the cinema is now rescheduled for the fourth time, as it was believed to be released on March 26, 2020, but the outbreak of the coronavirus made the filmmakers postpone the release. Then it was set to release on March 26, 2021, and again coronavirus played its move and then the movie is set to release on May 13 and now the movie has been postponed once again.
Now it is announced that the Marakkar Lion of the Arabian Sea will be released on August 12 and the same will be released in theatre to provide an amazing theatrical experience to the audience.
Having said that, the upcoming Marakkar Lion of the Arabian Sea already bagged National Award for the best feature film of 2019. The movie also received awards for the best special effects and best costume design.
The movie is directed by the veteran director Priyadarshan, the cinema features a rich cast of Mohanlal, Manju Warrier, Suniel Shetty, Keerthi Suresh, Arjun Sarja, Suhasini, Prabhu, Siddique, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Mukesh, Pranav Mohanlal, and Kalyani Priyadarshan.
The plot of the upcoming Marakkar Lion of the Arabian Sea is the period-drama is set in 16th century and the same is based on the life of Kunjali Marakkar IV, the naval chief of the Zamorin.
