Bro Daddy was one of the highly anticipated Malayalam movies and the same featured sensational star casting including the legendary actor Mohanlal in the lead role. The movie is the second directorial venture of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran after the mega hit movie Lucifer. The film Bro Daddy has been released on Disney Plus Hotstar. The movie is offering nice comedy scenes and presented Mohanlal in a different avatar in the movie as you can’t find mass dialogues for action scenes in this cinema. So let’s see how it is.
It is a perfect family movie and the cinema starts with John Kattadi (Mohanlal) and Annamma (Meena Sagar), who were living a happy life and having a good financial setup as well. Eesho (Prithviraj Sukumaran) is their only son. The movie comes across serious issues but it was dealt with comedy. Eesho works in Bengaluru and is in a live-in relationship with Anna (Kalyani Priyadarshan) who is the daughter of the best friend of Mohanlal (Lalu Alex). Everything was going well for the families but one day a life changing incident happened. The movie then goes through the way to solve the issue on a happy note. To know more about the story you must watch the cinema.
The character selection is superb in Bro Daddy and Mohanlal has showcased outstanding performance in the movie. He showcased brilliant timings and his comedy scenes will make everyone laugh and he has done his character with so much ease. On the other hand, Pirthiviraj also performed well as a confused son and the combination of the father and son will definitely steal your heart. It is worth mentioning that Lalu Alex also performed well.
Coming to the heroine of the cinema, Kalyani Priyadarshan does a good job, and selecting her for the role is a brilliant decision by Prithviraj.
You may not find anything new in the story of the movie and it is dull in the latter half as well and you will also feel that the movie is a bit longer as well. There is an issue with the screenplay of the movie as well and the cinema is speeded up during the climax.
The cinematography of Bro Daddy is brilliant as you will feel rich as well as attractive visuals and the music by Deepak Dev played a crucial part in the cinema and the songs are simply awesome. Now let’s talk about the most important factor of the cinema and that is the direction of Prithviraj, he managed to handle the story in a neat manner. He handled both comedy and emotions in a good way.
Bro Daddy is a star-studded family drama and situational comedy is the real strength of the cinema.
