Mohanlal started his journey in the Malayalam film industry in 1978 and he never looked back as he showcased an amazing performance on the silver screen and entertained everyone. Today, he is turning 62 and he gifted the new 12th Man to the fans to enjoy and the same is available on Disney+ Hotstar.
As I mentioned above, Lalettan started his journey in 1978 with the movie called Thiranottam but the cinema was not released at that time and the king of the Malayalam film industry appeared on the big screen after a couple of years in the movie called Manjil Virinja Pookkal in 1980. It is worth mentioning that the producer of the movie hesitated to offer a chance to Lalettan, and he is now the glorious face of the industry. His dedication and his love for the cinema took him to a level that no one can touch and that is the reason for being the king of the Malayalam film industry.
Lalettan showcased different kinds of roles and the majority of them touched our hearts and reason for the same is the actor is not acting in front of the camera but he is living as the character. Lalettan also named as the director actor, as the actor can offer more than the expectations of the director.
There are many movies of Lalettan that are evergreen and if I start to mention the names of the movies then the list will not end anytime soon. As someone said the seen is beautiful but the unseen is more beautiful, the phrase exactly correct for Lalettan as now he is going behind the camera to showcase the magic with his first directorial debut movie which is dubbed as Barroz and he will also perform a leading role in the movie as well.
Moreover, there are some upcoming movies of Lalettan which are really exciting and the movies include Monster, Empuraan, and Ram.
It is worth mentioning that the actor has also played roles in different languages in the country and that includes Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and more. It is worth mentioning that Lalettan played a crucial role in the second part of the biggest cinema of India Sholay 2.
The Government of the country also honored him with Honours such as Padma Shri (2001), Lieutenant colonel-Honorary (2009), and Padma Bhushan (2019) his great works.
